Klopp talks about Salah’s condition and his future

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp responded to media inquiries regarding the renewal of Mohamed Salah’s contract and the impact of this matter on his stability and future.

“I don’t know 100%, but he is really in good shape, and he is very happy with us,” Klopp said in his statements, which was reported by the official “Liverpool” website, before facing Fulham in the opening matches of the team in the Premier League.

He continued: “As it was clear to him and I said several times, in the end we will come to an agreement, but it is still an open matter and everyone is talking about it and things like that.”

He added: “We are human beings, there are distractions, that’s how it is, but I didn’t see that distracting him too much. To be honest, Mo had one of the most intense seasons ever, with the African Cup and all the matches.”

He continued, “After a few weeks off, Mo is always full of strength and comes back full of energy, he’s back in good shape.”

And yes, knowing where he will be – I won’t say the rest of his career because maybe a player who can play longer – but for the next, very, very important years of his career, yes, that gave us all a boost and he is.

“You’re right, it looked really good, and in the pre-season, to be honest, it could go on for a long time – that would be really cool.”
