Bad news from Ukraine. Mykola Kukharevych (19), striker for small club Rukh Lviv who was due to arrive in June, moves away from Anderlecht. The Ukrainian had yet passed to Neerpede in December, had passed his medical tests, and even posted a photo of him with Kompany and the Sporting jersey. An agreement in principle had been reached with his club.
But as announced, the player had requested a cooling-off period. The fact that he does not speak English and that he has to leave his country, had made him doubt. Since then, there have also been complications between the clubs. Rukh Lviv is not used to making transfers, and Anderlecht don’t want to go the extra mile. The file is not yet buried, but it is very badly started.
At the moment, sporting director Peter Verbeke is mainly looking for players who could come on hire, like Ashimeru. “Peter continues to surprise me with interesting names, which I wonder if we can afford to bring them”, explains Vincent Kompany. “Peter and I share the same opinion: we only want direct and payable reinforcements. The teams stand so closely in D1A, that details can make the difference. But what will these details be: a transfer or seven Covid cases? “
Verbeke examines several avenues. One of them leads to Dane Jacob Bruun Larsen (22), a left winger. In 2015 – he was 17 – he left his country to go to Dortmund, but he never made it through. He then left for 9 million at Hoffenheim, but was not successful either. According to Sporting, the interest is not yet concrete.
