The news of an 11-year-old boy who miraculously survived a landslide in the Philippines the other day is now in the media. The boy had sought refuge in the fridge for more than 20 hours before escaping the landslide. Saving the child’s life was an idea that came to mind very quickly during the tragedy. The landslide occurred on Friday when CJ Jasmine was at home with her family. The region was hit hard by landslides and mudslides following the tropical storm Meghi. The boy’s house in Baby City, Philippines, was completely submerged in mud.

The New York Post reports that Jasmine hid in a fridge to escape a natural disaster that devastated her area. But Jasmine, who had to stay in the fridge for more than 20 hours, was very exhausted. Jasmine was found by police officer Jonas Etis. The police team was on a rescue mission in the province of Leh.

The video of the rescue operation went viral online. The video shows rescuers moving the child to a stretcher. The child’s leg was fractured in the landslide. But the child was not unconscious. The boy first told paramedics that he was hungry.

Jasmine was rushed to a hospital for treatment and was treated for a broken leg. The child’s health is reported to be satisfactory.

Jasmine’s 13-year-old brother also survived the landslide. But the younger brother and mother have not yet been found. Her father was killed in another landslide in the area.

A typhoon and landslide in the Philippines in recent days have killed at least 172 people and displaced more than 20 million. Rescue efforts are also being hampered by mud and other debris. The search is being carried out by the police, army and other rescue workers.
