In a roof fire in Langenhagen, rescuers discovered a dead person on Wednesday. As the police told the NDR in Lower Saxony, a resident of the apartment building is still missing.

Eight residents of the house, including a child, got to safety in time or were evacuated by the fire brigade. A 35-year-old resident was taken to the hospital with suspected smoke inhalation, police said. He was able to leave the clinic on Wednesday morning.
