San Francisco The Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin give up the operational leadership of the parent company Alphabet. Page will resign as CEO and Brin as president, the two said on Tuesday. However, both are to retain their posts on the Board of Directors, which is the parent of the Board of Directors.

Alphabet's new chief executive officer will be Google boss Sundar Pichai, who will henceforth act as CEO of Alphabet as well as of Google.

The personnel changes take place with immediate effect. Investors took the news calmly on the stock market, there was initially little reaction after the stock market.
