Lavrov: Zelensky must order an end to resistance

The Kremlin does not want Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He must give the order to the Ukrainian neo-Nazi battalion to lay down their arms and release all civilians.

This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with the Italian edition of Mediaset. He emphasized that the surrender of Zelensky is not a necessary condition for a peace agreement.

Lavrov also noted that Russia is not going to change power in Ukraine.

“Our goal does not include regime change in Ukraine. It’s an American specialty. They do it all over the world,” Lavrov said.

Moscow’s main concern is the safety of people in the east of the republic. They should not be threatened by militarization or nazification. A threat to Russia should not emanate from the territory of Ukraine either.

Formerly Lavrov informedthat approximately 16,000 citizens of foreign states turned to Russia for help in evacuating from the territory of Ukraine.
