Gaite Jansen plays the leading role in the feature film directed by Joost van Ginkel Bo. Exactly ten years ago she also had the lead role in Van Ginkel’s debut film 170 HZ.

Other roles in Bo are performed by Matthijs van de Sande Bakhuyzen and the Georgian Rati Tsiteladze.

The shots were actually scheduled for spring, but they were postponed due to the corona crisis. This week the first shooting day will take place in the Netherlands and the shooting will continue in Georgia at the end of July.

The film is about Bo, who travels to Georgia to visit her father’s grave. There she bumps into a former childhood friend of his, with whom she falls in love.

“I am extremely happy that I will be working with Joost again”, says Jansen in a reaction. “I want to explore together how we have grown and changed. At least the basic confidence is rock solid and I am really looking forward to the turning period.”
