Learn about the benefits of zinc for the respiratory system

Researchers in a recent medical study revealed the benefits of “zinc” for the respiratory system.

In their study, whose results were published in the journal BMJ Open, researchers from the University of Western Sydney, Australia, said that taking zinc supplements may reduce the duration of respiratory infections, and it also relieves the accompanying symptoms.

The study included nearly 5,500 people, and found that taking zinc by mouth or using it as a nasal spray can protect against infection with respiratory infections, and may make people feel better more quickly.

Symptoms of gastrointestinal infections include coughing, sneezing, stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, headache, and high temperature.

The study did not include data related to people with Covid-19, according to the British newspaper, The Independent.
