Learn about the details of extending the fourth metro line to 6th of October City

The Ministry of Transport is studying the management of the first phase of the fourth metro line for 6th of October City. In the following points, we present the most important details of the project.

– The first phase of the project will be extended to the south for a distance of 4.5 km on the surface.

– Extension of the phase will serve the sectors of the 6th of October City, south of Al-Wahat Al-Bahariya Road, the residential area there.

The first phase of the fourth metro line is about 19 km long.

– It includes 17 stations (16 tunnels – 1 shallow).

– It extends from the interchange station “Hadayek Al-Ashgar” west of the Ring Road on the borders of 6th of October city, passing through the Grand Egyptian Museum, then Al-Remaya Square, then Al-Haram Street until the Giza Station.

– It achieves the exchange of service with the second metro line, then crosses down the Nile to the Al-Malik Al-Salih metro station to intersect with the first metro line to reach the Amr Ibn Al-Aas station in the Fustat area in Old Cairo.

– The first phase achieves the passenger exchange service with the second metro line at Giza station and with the first metro line at the King Al-Saleh station.
