The concerned authorities are proceeding with the construction of the new 26th of July axis and the expansion of the old axis to accommodate the largest possible number of cars, amid the presence of the necessary traffic services to work on the movement of vehicles during the work period. We summarize the new axis in the following points:

The axis development project consists of five phases, starting with the development of the current 26th of July axis by expanding the road in the distance from the Alexandria Desert Road until the intersection with the new axis

– It starts from Ahmed Orabi Street, passes through the airport area, then Bashteel, Al-Barajeel, and Kerdasa areas and continues until October 6 .

It passes from the Bashteel area near the Upper Egypt train station.

– It intersects with 3 axes in the Bashteel area “Orabi axis – Lieutenant-General Kamal Amer axis – Ring Road”

The new axis transports traffic from League of Arab States Street through Ahmed Orabi Street, without passing through Lebanon Square.


The new 26th of July axis

Nazla is being constructed from the Orabi axis bridge to transfer traffic from the Orabi axis to the new 26th of July axis.

A bridge is being constructed on the airport land, linking it with the Orabi axis bridge, and it continues until the ring road.

The axis’s path continues from Orabi Street to reach the old axis of 26 July after Ezbet Omar in Al-Barajeel after the start of the ring road, and runs parallel to it until the Alexandria Desert Road..

The new 26th of July axis is being constructed starting from Ahmed Orabi Bridge until its meeting with the expansions of the current 26th of July axis.

Development and expansion of the old axis by adding 3 traffic lanes, then constructing the Sabtieh axis.

Giza Governorate is conducting demolition works for real estate, transportation and removal of columns on both sides of the axis

Construction of the Sabtiah-Imbaba axis in the distance from West Nile to the intersection of Ahmed Orabi Street with Airport Street, in addition to the axis’s ramps and houses.

The Sphinx Corridor will be constructed in the distance from West Nile to the beginning of Ahmed Orabi Bridge, to reach the 15th of May Bridge with the new 26th of July Corridor to be built.
