Egypt is implementing the express electric train through the Ministry of Transport, where 3 high-speed train lines are being implemented to transport individuals and goods, with a total length of about 2000 km. In the following points are the details of the third line of the express electric train.
1. It connects the city of Qena with the cities of Hurghada and Safaga.
2. It intersects with Line 2 at Qena station.
3. The line is 225 km long and has 5 stations.
4. It has 3 express train stations and 2 regional train stations.
5. Its stations are “Qena, East Sohag, Hurghada, Sahl Hasheesh, and Safaga.”
6. 6 express trains will operate at a design speed of 230 km/h.
7. It will operate 16 regional trains at a speed of 160 km / h.
8. It will be operated by 6 freight locomotives at a speed of 120 km / h.
