Learn about the price of the euro in Egypt today, Monday, May 31, 2021.. a limited decline

The price of the euro fell against the Egyptian pound, today, Monday, May 31, 2021, in the Central Bank of Egypt and in some banks.

At the Central Bank, the pound and the Kuwaiti dinar increased, while the price of the dollar, the Saudi riyal and the Emirati dirham stabilized.

The average price of the European euro at the Central Bank of Egypt decreased to 19.04 pounds for purchase and 19.17 pounds for sale, compared to 19.05 pounds for purchase and 19.18 pounds for sale, yesterday.

The price of the euro in the National Bank of Egypt (the largest government bank) settled at 18.93 pounds for purchase and 19.17 pounds for sale.

In Banque Misr (the second largest governmental bank), the price of the euro varied, recording 18.93 pounds for purchase and 19.17 pounds for sale, compared to 18.94 pounds for purchase and 19.16 pounds for sale.

At the Commercial International Bank (the largest private bank in Egypt), the euro fell to 18.96 pounds for purchase and 19.19 pounds for sale, compared to 19.03 pounds for purchase and 19.21 pounds for sale, yesterday.

The International Monetary Fund had expected to provide additional financing of $1.6 billion to Egypt after its Executive Board approved it in the coming weeks.

The fund added that its experts had reached an agreement with the Egyptian authorities regarding additional financing, after a second and final review of Egypt’s economic program and a conditional credit arrangement of $5.2 billion for a period of 12 months.

“Egypt’s economy has shown resilience while mitigating the impact of the COVID-19 crisis through the authorities’ swift and balanced policy response,” he said in a statement.

Dollar and sterling rates

The price of the dollar in the Central Bank of Egypt remained at 15.62 pounds for purchase, and 15.72 pounds for sale, which are the same prices as yesterday.

While the average price of the pound sterling in the Central Bank of Egypt increased to 22.18 pounds for purchase and 22.33 pounds for sale, compared to 22.13 pounds for purchase and 22.28 pounds for sale, yesterday.

The prices of the riyal, dirham and dinar

The average price of the Saudi riyal at the Central Bank of Egypt settled at 4.16 pounds for purchase and 4.19 pounds for sale, which are the same prices as yesterday.

The price of the UAE dirham remained stable at 4.25 pounds for purchase and 4.28 pounds for sale.

While the price of the Kuwaiti dinar in the Central Bank of Egypt jumped to 51.95 pounds for purchase and 52.30 pounds for sale, compared to 51.89 pounds for purchase and 52.36 pounds for sale, yesterday.
