Information about the intention of the Lebanese Minister of Information, George Qardahi, to resign, and Al-Mayadeen’s correspondent says that he will present it knowing that it will not contribute to easing Saudi measures against Lebanon.
Reporter reported fields That Lebanese Information Minister George Kordahi will announce his resignation on Friday afternoon in a statement, noting that Qardahi contacted the Prime Minister and friends and decided to resign.
Our correspondent pointed out that Qardahi decided to resign knowing that it would not contribute to easing Saudi measures against Lebanon, adding that a figure close to the head of the Marada movement, Suleiman Franjieh, would take over the media portfolio after his resignation.
Our correspondent also indicated that the resignation will be before Macron’s meetings with the Saudi leadership in Riyadh.
In another context, our correspondent indicated that the Lebanese legislative elections are likely to be held next May.
According to sources told “Reuters”, “Kirdahi’s decision aims to open the door to negotiations ahead of French President Emmanuel Macron’s planned visit to Saudi Arabia, in light of the existing dispute between Lebanon and several Gulf countries.”
It is worth noting that this event comes hours before Macron’s visit to the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, where various topics will be discussed during the tour, including the crises of the Middle East, the fight against terrorism andLebanon crisis.
