In commemoration of SAMYANG’s 50th anniversary, the “AF 85mm F1.4 FEII” has appeared following the second-generation models of the 35mm F1.4 and 50mm F1.4. Along with excellent resolution, the adoption of an STM motor enables quieter, faster, and more accurate AF.
Equipped with a custom switch and focus hold button for improved operability.
It is suitable not only for photography but also for video.

Features
Compact size and light weight
The AF 85mm F1.4 FEII is designed to be more compact (total length 99.5mm) and lighter (509g) than other 85mm lenses compatible with the Sony FE mount, while achieving excellent resolution performance. It also supports video shooting on a gimbal.
High resolution and beautiful bokeh at F1.4 large aperture
Out of 11 lenses in 8 groups, 5 special lenses are optimally placed to achieve high resolution performance even at maximum aperture of F1.4.
Four high-refractive lenses and one ED lens deliver high contrast and sharpness from the center to the periphery.
It has 9 aperture blades and does not use an aspherical lens to create smooth and beautiful bokeh.
Quieter, Faster and More Accurate AF with Linear STM Motor
SAMYANG’s unique stepping motor (Linear STM) is suitable for both photography and videography.
Focusing works quickly and accurately in photography, and AF drives quietly and smoothly in video.
High operability ideal for professional users
The focus hold button can be used to fix the focus position and assign Eye-AF functions by setting the camera.
By adopting a custom switch, it is possible to set the aperture with the focus ring during AF.
new exterior design
It has a red line that disappears when the hood is attached, a focus ring with a micro pattern, and a match black exterior.
In addition, it has weather sealing in seven places to protect the lens from rain and dust.
