The authorities of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland are ready to mediate in the Belarusian crisis in order to stop the violence against the citizens of Belarus, said Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda. Reuters.
At the same time, Nauseda warned that if the proposal for mediation is rejected, sanctions may be imposed against Belarus – both by individual countries and at the EU level.
Nauseda presented his plan for resolving the situation in Belarus at a press conference on August 12, where he arrived after a conversation with President of Latvia Egils Levits. reports Delfi. Addressing journalists, Nauseda said that the authorities of Lithuania and other countries are looking for options for overcoming the crisis associated with the alarming situation in Belarus.
