With the series at 5-1 the Italians are looking for the last two points to win the trophy and get the right to challenge the New Zealanders
The challenge between Ineos and Luna Rossa continues. Also this Italian morning from 4am back to the water for two more races of the Prada Cup Final. The Italians are on 5-1 and need two more points to close the series and to be able to be for the second time, in the history of this team, the official challenger to the America’s Cup. The wind conditions today are expected to be below 12 knots, heading from the North and on race course A. So on paper it is the conditions preferred by Jimmy Spithill and his companions and those in which the British are less comfortable. It is therefore easy to imagine that Ben Anslie will be very aggressive at the start to try to put the Italians in difficulty on their ground.
The series is best of 13 races and will end no later than Wednesday, in any case, as the latest possible date. While the Cup will start on March 6. In the meantime, the British asked the jury to intervene on an alleged illicit attitude by Luna Rossa, but it was not accepted.
