LIVE – Real Estate: “What is allowed and what is prohibited to do?” : our answers to your questions about real estate

The response from Sandrine Allonier, spokesperson for Vousfinancer, mortgage broker: “According to the latest data available from the Banque de France, the production of real estate loans did not fall… In September alone, excluding renegotiations, it continued to increase compared to August at 18.9 billion euros (16.8 billion in August), ie a return at its level of February 2020, after falling to 10.7 billion in April 2020, in full containment.

Overall, at the end of September, over the first 9 months of the year, the production of credit excluding renegotiation fell only 2% compared to 2019, thanks to an excellent start to 2020. And if we include the loan renegotiations – the amounts of which are up 45% in 2020 compared to 2019 – production even increased by 7% … But the end of the year, with a real estate market immobilized by the ban on visit properties, should be impacted again by the reconfinement, and overall, the production of loans could thus reach at best 220 billion euros in 2020 against 246.5 billion in 2019, a decrease of more than 10%.
