San Jose Sharks forward Logan Couture claimed Wednesday he was sneakily punched after raising arguments for voting for Republican candidate Donald Trump on Tuesday in Toronto.
The Guelph, Ont., Canadian forward made the revelation on Twitter. He will not be able to vote, however, since he is not a US citizen.
“I spent last night in Toronto, Ontario,” he explained on Twitter. I talked about voting for the Republican Party and I mentioned Donald Trump. I was struck. Is this really what we come to? If you vote, are you a bad guy? This world is going so badly. ”
Couture has 16 goals and totaled 39 points in 52 games this season with the Sharks. The Californian club did not qualify for the playoffs, however.
