Longueuil: a man arrested in connection with threats to the mayor

The Longueuil agglomeration police service (SPAL) on Tuesday arrested a man in relation to the threats made to Mayor Sylvie Parent.

The man is in his twenties and does not live in Longueuil. He was released on certain conditions and could face criminal charges.

The file was submitted to the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DPCP), police said.

The SPAL is continuing its investigation into this threat file related to the management plan for the deer population in Michel-Chartrand Park.
