The 2014 World Champion competed in the “Schauinsland-Reisen-Cup” in the Schwalbe Arena on Sunday with his club Gornik Zabrze and apparently brought a great deal of ambition with him.
In the previous game against Hamburger SV he had thrown defender Valon Zumberi to the ground in a wrestling duel.

Podolski apologizes for freak out
Against Rot-Weiss Essen in the semi-finals, the former Bayern attacker finally burst. After a foul in the penalty area, Podolski received one of a total of three time penalties in the match, then stood up in front of the referee and saw the red card.
There was a lot of criticism of the behavior of the 37-year-old on social media. Podolski seemed to have recognized his mistake at least in the evening from a distance.
Under an Instagram post from rights holder “Sky”, in which the dismissal was documented, the attacker commented with a silence and a kiss emoji: “Right.”
