Luxembourg: police put an end to an underground party of 70 people

The man who had rented the cottage has already been sanctioned on the spot by an immediate collection of 750 euros.

LThe police put an end to a clandestine party on Saturday evening in Offagne, in the province of Luxembourg, bringing together about 70 people in a lodging, said the Luxembourg public prosecutor’s office.

The maximum capacity of the gîte in normal times is already 14 people. The intervention was obviously complicated because some participants fled. But 42 participants could nevertheless be identified.

“The organizer”, that is to say the man who had rented the lodging, was already sanctioned on the spot by an immediate perception of 750 euros. For others, the fine can go up to 250 euros.

The prosecution should consider suites.

The man who rented the gîte is a resident of Dilbeek who was born in 1996. The participants, young people according to the prosecution, came from all over the world, including the Netherlands.

Word of mouth about this holiday seems to have worked, which is why so many attendees ended up meeting in one place.

The owner of the lodging could also be heard in order to question him on the rental conditions.
