Dr. Taher Ayoub, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Luxor Governorate, said that work is continuing in the activity of dentists in the health units affiliated with the Directorate, to conduct educational seminars on everything related to oral and dental medicine in preventive topics, under the auspices of the Minister of Health and Counselor Mostafa inspired the Governor of Luxor. Under the supervision of Dr. Sahar Abu Al-Wafa Megally, Director General of the General Department of Dentistry in the Directorate, and Dr. Ali Noubi, Director of the Preventive Dental Department in the Directorate.
The Luxor Health Undersecretary added, to “The Seventh Day”, that the people of Luxor are supported in preventive issues related to oral and dental health, such as caring for the health of teeth and gums, the best ways to use toothbrushes, and dental care since pregnancy for the mother and fetus, then the period of childhood and proper nutrition to maintain Healthy teeth, as well as therapeutic topics, types of dental fillings, treatment of gum infections and calculus, their causes and treatment. During these educational seminars, awareness is raised about the importance of the periodic visit to the dentist to avoid any problems in the mouth and teeth, as well as the effects of chronic diseases on oral and dental health, and all topics related to oral health. And teeth and contribute to increasing the health awareness of the people of Luxor.
Dr. Taher Ayoub, Luxor Health Undersecretary, confirmed that dentists have conducted 75 educational seminars during the past 30 days, which were attended by more than 300 citizens, men, women and children. The largest number of seminars during the past month, as seminars are held in all units in the Directorate, in order to raise health awareness regarding oral and dental health at the governorate level.
