The LG OLED A1 is a great and, above all, inexpensive entry-level OLED and did really well in our test. Otto has the LG A2 for Black Friday now at a much better price than usual. You can get the OLED in 48 inches from Otto for just 679 euros. An OLED price that was unthinkable a few years ago.
LG A2 on Black Friday sale: A great TV for little money
Value for money LG A2 easy – and with the MediaMarkt offer for Black Friday anyway. You can get one for a small price OLED TV with high image quality. The colors are first class, and on top of that it also performs very well with HDR content, such as Dolby Vision, despite “only” around 600 nits. Thanks to the OLED panel, you can of course also look forward to high contrasts and rich blacks. You only have to make compromises with the refresh rate, instead of 120 Hz there is only 60 Hz. So not quite as ideal for gaming with Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5, as you also have to do without HDMI 2.1 features such as VRR or ALLM.
If that doesn’t particularly bother you, because you’re either satisfied with 60 Hz anyway or aren’t interested in gaming at all, you’ll get a great one TVwhich secured the grade 8.9 and thus a “very good” in our test.
That’s what we like about the LG OLED A2 – and we don’t like it:
- Top contrast and clean colors
- Extensive smart TV functions / WebOS 22
- Very good service
- Comparatively inexpensive
- Just a 50 hertz panel
- No HDMI 2.1 for 120Hz gaming
- Just simple multituner, no headphone output
Should you take advantage of MediaMarkt’s Black Friday offer for the LG A2?
The LG OLED A2 is one of the best OLEDs to get started with. You can get one here for 679 euros LG TV with a lot of image quality in 48 inches at a relatively low price. Sure, you have to do without HDMI 2.1 and a bit high peak brightness, but if that is not so important to you, you will hardly find a better price-performance-technical OLED offer for Black Friday than is currently available at Otto:
