Protests are taking place across the state demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister. There was a clash in the collectorate march of the Youth Congress workers in Palakkad. Activists marched in black shirts and black balloons. Activists including Shafi Parampil MLA were arrested and removed.
The Youth League protested in Kochi with a lookout notice against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Youth League activists pasted a lookout notice with a picture and description of the Chief Minister at the police barricade.
Youth organizations protest in Kannur and Karingodi against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Youth Congress activists staged a protest in front of Kannur Guest House. Yuva Morcha activists also waved black flags at the Chief Minister on the way to the CM. The activists were taken to their protesters and arrested.

At the same time, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan clarified that black clothes and masks will not be banned and he does not intend to obstruct anyone. The CM also said that a group was spreading false propaganda that they were blocking the way. He also said that a fake campaign was being launched to defame the government. The Chief Minister’s explanation comes amid mounting opposition protests on the issue.
