Significant traffic jams are to be reported near the French border, in the Mons-Valenciennes direction. They are the consequence of an accident which occurred in France, near Crespin.
Following the crash, the authorities decided to close the highway, causing queues. Many motorists are currently completely at a standstill. Drivers even got out of their vehicles. The police are present on the spot.
Dour exit closed
However, diversions are in place. However, motorists cannot take the last exit before France since it is closed. The Dour motorway exit is closed until April 4. A project to replace the lighting with LEDs has just started.
You have two options left to exit the highway. Either take the E42/A16 at Hautrage and follow the direction of Lille. Either leave the motorway at Mons and take the N51 towards Quiévrain (crossing prohibited +7.5T) or the R5 towards Maubeuge.
