Malaysia’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry said in a statement on the 21st that, according to regulations, RCEP will take effect for Malaysia on March 18 this year, 60 days after Malaysia submits the approval letter.

The statement of the Ministry of Trade and Industry believes that RCEP can strengthen the multilateral trading system and promote regional economic cooperation, and will become a “key driving force” for Malaysia’s post-pandemic economic recovery and the enhancement of international economic and trade exchanges.
