Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving Manchester United from the English Premier League (EPL).
On the 3rd (Korean time), foreign media such as the British BBC reported that Ronaldo expressed his desire to transfer to another team to participate in the UEFA Champions League.
Ronaldo returned to Manchester United from Juventus (Italy) in August of last year after 12 years. Earlier, after the 2021-2022 season ended, he was embroiled in rumors of a breakup with Manchester United.
In response, British Sky Sports reported last month that “Ronaldo is scheduled to join the team training in early July,” adding weight to his stay at Manchester United.
However, several sports media outlets reported that Ronaldo’s intention to transfer was announced, and the transfer rumors once again surfaced.
However, after Manchester United failed to qualify for the Champions League as they finished sixth in the EPL last season, they have requested a transfer to another team to participate in the Champions League.
In this regard, ESPN, an American sports media outlet, reported that “According to officials, Manchester United have effectively notified Ronaldo of ‘no transfer’, asking him to fill the remaining contract period.”
There is a lot of interest in which team Ronaldo will play in the 2022-2023 season. Teams currently interested in signing Ronaldo include Chelsea (England), Bayern Munich (Germany) and Napoli (Italy).
