[시사포커스 / 이근우 기자] Manchester City have brought Tottenham Hotspur back to the negotiating table.

British media ‘Manchester Evening News’ reported on the 19th (Korean time), “Man City have prepared a £150 million bid to bring Tottenham to the negotiating table. Manchester City are keen to sign Kane this summer and have expressed their willingness to sign him.”

Earlier, Manchester City made a £100m bid for Kane as their first bid, and after Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy turned it down, they signed Jack Grealish. Manchester City wanted to give up on Kane after spending a huge £100 million set on an English record.

However, City have re-offered the offer at £127 million. There is not enough time to find a new striker to fill the void of Sergio Aguero (FC Barcelona), who left due to the expiration of his contract.

Elling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund) has been associated with several big clubs but remains there, and Romelo Lukaku, who has been referred to as a replacement, has worn Chelsea’s jersey. It was heard that Manchester City had contacted Doosan Vlahovic (Fiorentina), who had even been rejected for the second offer.

However, several media outlets have reported that City have not given up on Kane and are preparing to raise the fee to £150m. Although the signing of Grealish was achieved, this is largely due to the failure to complete the vacancy of Aguero, which is the top priority.

Levy is adamant about Kane being sold. Manchester City are not happy with Kane’s transfer to the English Premier League champions in the 2020-21 season. However, the situation may be different if the amount has risen further.

The media predicted that the transfer fee prepared by Manchester City would bring Levy back to the negotiating table. Kane’s recent actions have also strained relations with Tottenham fans, club officials and the squad, but he expects Levy not to accept the money.

Meanwhile, the EPL transfer window is until the 31st of this month, less than two weeks left until the end.
