Manchester United completes signing of Ronaldo

Manchester United confirmed on Tuesday that it had completed the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus for two years, bringing the Portuguese forward back to the club with whom he won eight major titles between 2003 and 2009.

The English Premier League club announced that it had reached an agreement with Juventus to bring back 36-year-old Ronaldo last week, and the deal was completed after passing a medical examination, visa procedures and personal belongings.

Juventus confirmed earlier that Ronaldo left the club after reaching an agreement with United to transfer him for 15 million euros, in addition to eight million euros in performance incentives.

“Today, after three years, 133 matches, 101 goals and five titles, Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus have separated,” Juventus said in a statement.

Juventus signed Ronaldo for 100 million euros from Real Madrid in 2018, and with the team he won the Italian League title twice and the Italian Cup once.

Ronaldo is expected to make his first match for United on September 11 against Newcastle United in the Premier League after the international break.
