Manchester United hold their new coach

Lucien Favre will not, in all likelihood, be Manchester United’s new coach. According to the site “The Athletic”, the choice of the Mancunian leaders fell on Ralf Rangnick.

Current sporting director of Lokomotiv Moscow, the German should succeed Michael Carrick, who has been acting since the dismissal of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last Sunday. His contract would last until the end of the season before occupying a post of advisor within the club until 2024.

The Mancuniens intend to entrust next summer the management of the team to Maurcio Pochettino, the current coach of Paris Saint-Germain.

Former coach of RB Leipzig, Hoffenheim and Schalke 04, Ralf Rangnick has therefore cut the wire not only Lucien Favre, but also the French Rudi Garcia and the Spaniard Ernesto Valverde.
