A young man died on Saturday night after being shot by projectiles during protests against the Government of Manuel Merino.
Sources of RPP News, confirmed that it is a man of approximately 25 years who was transferred to the Almenara hospital after being injured.
The young man, who has not been identified, arrived without vital signs at the hospital, where They could only register his death after 8:40 at night.
According to the attention report, this person had various projectile wounds on his face and neck.
In this regard, EsSalud confirmed the death of the young man and stated in a statement that He arrived at the Almenara hospital at 8:20 p.m. and was admitted to the shock trauma area.
They added that they are waiting for the Prosecutor’s Office and National Police to carry out the corresponding investigations.
In statements to the press, the General of the National Police, Jorge Callas, indicated that the Police used rubber pellets against the protesters and that the young man’s death was “an isolated event”.
