Many breakdowns of banking services, payment by card as online services, have been reported throughout Switzerland since Saturday noon, according to the newspaper 20 Minutes. PostFinance and Twint seem particularly affected.
The services of UBS and Raiffeisen as well as the credit company Visa would also be disrupted. This outage blocks payment by card in shops, online payments and access to ATMs and e-banking.
Many outages have been reported throughout Switzerland on the site “allfaults“, PostFinance, Twint and Visa in the lead. The breakdowns concerning UBS seem above all to be concentrated in German-speaking Switzerland.
On Twitter, PostFinance indicates to undergo “a technical disturbance” whose cause is not yet known.
