A new Olympic ambition for Martin Fourcade
Martin Fourcade has often thought about the after-career, even before it ended. If it is to be a candidate for this post, it is because Catalan has already taken a first step before reaching this point. In September 2019, the French National Olympic Sport Committee (CNOSF) by its president Denis Masseglia preferred the biathlete to pole vaulter Renaud Lavillenie for this election in 2022.
But to be elected, Martin Fourcade will have to rely on his former sports buddies. The task would be all the more difficult when the IOC announces this “Record number of applications” to join this Athletes’ Commission. See you in February 2022 to find out if the Catalan champion will take a new step in his post-career.
The election procedures are simple: all participating athletes Beijing 2022 Olympic Games will be able to vote for their future representatives in the Olympic Villages from January 27 (opening day of the villages) to February 16, 2022. The main mission is also very simple: “ Ensure that the athlete’s perspective remains at the heart of the decisions of the Olympic movement Says the IOC.
