The information has not yet been released. Nevertheless, according to Le Parisien, McDonald’s is preparing to launch a special operation in France. From March 7, the famous fast-food potatoes will be replaced… by carrot fries, parsnips, or even beets.
Our French colleagues indicate that the operation should last “three or four weeks”, to the great surprise of this franchisee installed in the south of the country. “I can’t wait to see my customers’ faces when I tell them there are no more potatoes for three weeks,” he says. “It’s a flagship product for us, it’s as if the Big Mac disappeared”.
It remains to be seen whether this approach will also be undertaken in Belgium.
