Basel trade fair organizer MCH Group is concerned that customer and partner data may have been stolen in a cyberattack last week. The information available shows that the hackers had access to the stored data.

It is not yet possible to assess the importance of the stolen data at the moment, noted the Basel group in a statement released Wednesday evening. MCH Group organizes renowned events like Baselworld or Art Basel.

Recommended password change

The organizer recommends changing passwords and MCH Group access data immediately. It is also necessary to change the passwords that are used for other accounts when they are the same.

On October 20, MCH Group was attacked with malware. For now, it is not yet possible to assess the importance of the stolen data, nor whether the problem has been fully contained.
