War of prices: Media Markt prospectus compared with Amazon
Who will emerge victorious from the battle of the best prices: The Media Markt prospectus or Amazon?

The Media Markt brochure is currently attracting customers with an instant discount in the online shop and promising buyers to give VAT on selected Samsung products. What about the promotions and can Amazon counter this with its prices?
Let’s go into the bargain battle: Media Markt will attack the competition until February 19, 2021 and announce the “Galaxy Week”. From February 12-19, 2021 you have the opportunity to get hold of some Samsung products with VAT reduced. But be careful, do not be fooled by advertising, because the “value added tax” is loud at Media Markt Consumer advice center from the net price. This leaves a gross saving of almost 16 percent. Is that enough to stand up to Amazon?
The Media Markt offer is of course only valid while stocks last. The electronics store also grants a cashback bonus on selected products. Unfortunately, you will not see whether the technology gadget of your desire falls under it until the product is in the shopping cart. Media Markt does not reveal how long and which devices enjoy the instant discount. According to Dealers some branded products benefit from the direct deduction.

You save twice with that Samsung Galaxy Book Ion with 13.3 inch screen. Thanks to “Galaxy Week”, the notebook costs 1041 euros and is therefore as expensive as on Amazon. However, Media Markt donates an immediate discount of 150 euros on the computer. You won’t see it until the device is in your shopping cart.

The Galaxy Buds Pro are true wireless headphones like the AirPods from Apple. Media Markt is offering them for 192.44 euros. Once again, the electronics store is on par with Amazon, but the Reds are again giving their customers a bonus. In this case it is 13.44 euros. For 179 Euro the in-ear headphones are not available from the shipping giant. The Galaxy Buds Pro offer, among other things, an automatic conversation mode and automatic switch-off when not in use. Of course, there are also noise-canceling headphones that filter out disturbing ambient noise.

Media Markt does not grant an immediate discount on many of the other advertised products. Take the tablet, for example Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ just as expensive as at Amazon. It looks similar with Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 128 GB out. However, Media Markt scores against Amazon when it comes to the smartphone’s color selection. The smartphone in all colors costs only 494.76 euros at the electronics store. The shipping giant offers the same price only for selected colors.
