An earthquake of medium intensity was perceived at 10:33 p.m. this Wednesday in the regions of Atacama and Coquimbo.
According to Seismology data, the magnitude of the earthquake was 5,1 Richter and it was located 11 kilometers south of Tongoy.
While the National Emergency Office (Onemi) indicated that the intensities in Mercalli scale son:
Alto del Carmen: II
Yellow Earth: III
La Serena: V
At the moment, Onemi has not reported damage to people, alteration to basic services or infrastructure as a result of the earthquake.
National Seismological Center indicates that the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.1 located 11 km south of Tongoy.
