In their statement, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said: Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and all of us at Archewell stand with the people of Ukraine against this breach of international law and humanitarian law.
She adds: (We) encourage the global community and its leaders to do the same. They are the first members of the Royal family British to speak on this issue.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s statement came at the right time, accompanying those of other leaders and influential figures in the international community.

Since Harry and Meghan Markle left Britain after renouncing their status as members of the British royal family, the couple have spoken out politically on numerous occasions, taking clearly position on current affairs.
From the Black Lives Matter protests to the US presidential election, during which Meghan took the time to encourage her fellow Americans to go to the polls, becoming, in effect, the first royal linked to the British royal family to vote.
The Sussexes do not represent the House of Windsor, so they speak on a personal basis, hastened to clarify the palace.
The former president Donald Trump, who at the time was still in office and in the running for re-election, replied with annoyance: Meghan? I have never been a fan. I wish good luck to Prince Harry, he is going to need it. A scuffle that started a few years ago and continued with occasional rants.
