The General Secretariat of Mental Health provided training services to the treatment team of the General Authority of Hospitals and Educational Institutes, in the field of (obstetrics and gynecology) on how to deal with mental illnesses associated with pregnancy and lactation, in addition to training workers in women’s health clinics on how to provide first aid to battered women.
It is noteworthy that an initiative was launched to vaccinate addicted patients against the hepatitis B virus, in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and to start providing treatment through virology clinics in the hospitals of the Secretariat.
