Targeted to strengthen the midfield of Paris Saint-Germain in this summer transfer window, midfielder Fabian Ruiz was officially recruited on Tuesday from Naples for 25 million euros (bonus included). The Spaniard will provide an additional solution within the workforce of Parisian coach Christophe Galtier.

Paris Saint-Germain is finalizing the contours of its workforce in the final stretch of this summer transfer window. Pending the arrival of a central defender and Carlos Soler (see article here), the reigning French champion officially completed the recruitment of midfielder Fabian Ruiz on Tuesday.
Designated as the priority for this post of Parisian sports adviser Luis Campos for several weeks, the Spanish international has finally signed up with the club of the capital.
Ruiz pour 25 M€
On the departure of Naples on this period of transfers due to the end of his contract in June 2023, the former player of Betis Sville is the subject of an operation estimated at 25 million euros (bonus included). A file which was however not easy to close for PSG. During long negotiations, the two teams had difficulty finalizing this deal, in particular because of the possible integration of Ile-de-France goalkeeper Keylor Navas, still in Paris but still in the sights of the Serie A team.
For his part, the native of Los Palacios y Villafranca signed a lease until June 2027 in favor of Paris. By the way, Ruiz has negotiated an annual salary estimated at 5 million euros and will launch a big challenge after successful stints in La Liga and Serie A. A few months before the 2022 World Cup, the Iber will quickly have to do his hole at PSG to appear in the plans of coach Luis Enrique.
Galtier has a choice
And precisely, the competition promises to be tough for Ruiz. Because in this sector of play, the Parisian coach Christophe Galtier now has many choices: Marco Verratti, Vitinha, Renato Sanches, Danilo Pereira (probably used in defense) and therefore Ruiz. And in the 3-4-1-2 system of the French technician, places will be expensive. But with the sequence of matches, Galtier wanted to have such a luxury and was therefore served by its leaders.
