Aston Martin has confirmed this Tuesday that Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG, will become its new CEO as of August 1, after the resignation of Andy Palmer this Monday.

“The board has determined that now is the time for new leadership,” said Lawrence Stroll, CEO of Aston Martin Lagonda, after taking over 17% of the historic British house in January.

Moers has held various positions at Mercedes-AMG over the past 25 years. The British manufacturer also owns another 5% of Aston Martin, and supplies it with engines and other components. .
