Mercedes driver who hit a car and two pedestrians in Kiev showed signs of drug intoxication – police

The patrol police of Kiev detained a 22-year-old driver of a Mercedes car, who was trying to escape from law enforcement officers.

The driver of the Mercedes car, who on February 21 in Kiev, while trying to escape from the patrolmen, collided with a Hyundai car and ran into two pedestrians, had signs of drug intoxication. About it informed on Facebook the patrol police of the capital.

“The patrolmen detained the Mercedes driver. … It is preliminary known that the 22-year-old driver had signs of drug intoxication. They examined the citizen by a narcologist,” the message says.

Law enforcers said that a protocol was drawn up against the detainee under Art. 122-2 (failure by drivers to stop requirements) of the Code of Administrative Offenses and a resolution for violation of traffic rules.

The incident took place on Nauki Avenue, where Mercedes arrived after an attempt by patrolmen to stop a vehicle moving along the public transport lane. The driver lost control of the car, collided first with a Hyundai car, and then hit a man and a woman on the sidewalk.
