Mercedes F1 team principal Toto Wolff has suggested that Mick Schumacher is “always on the radar” and even a possible future acquisition.
In his second season with the Haas F1 Team, Mick Schumacher struggled early in the season. In contrast to the performance of Kevin Magnussen, who returned to the team, there were two crashes that wrecked the machine, and there was a whisper of a danger of losing the seat.
Still, Toto Wolff defended Mick Schumacher.

“Mick is smart and we know he can drive, so we have to let him drive on instinct.”
Instead of warning Mick Schumacher that no more crashes are allowed, Wolff said: “I just let him go, even if he could hit the wall again.”
“But he has to learn it. And he has to believe in him.”
Despite all the hoopla about Mick Schumacher’s future, Toto Wolff believes the 23-year-old can still “have a long way to go” in F1.
“With or without the Schumacher name, Mick has certain strengths and that means he’s always on our radar,” Wolff said.
