Mexico beats South Korea in friendly game

The Selection of Mexico, headed by Gerardo Martino, had some complications in Austria, but managed to get the result to win 3-2 to South Korea.

It should be noted that this game was at risk of not taking place due to the cases of coronavirus in the Asian team, but hours before after the rapid tests it was determined that it would be played.

The Aztec outfit came out with a fancy trident with Raúl Jiménez, Jesús Corona and Hirving Lozano, which wreaked havoc on the defensive, but failed to find the enemy frame in the first half.

Korea conceded the ball and fell back from the first minutes. Just after minute two, Hirving Lozano won the ball inside the area and took the shot that went over the top.

Later, the “Chucky” stung the space and turned around before the exit of the goalkeeper who went over the top. While on the 15th, the “Tecatito”He forgave twice in the area to Gu Sung-yun’s good saves that closed his shooting angle.

A defensive distraction caused Son Heung-Min put the center to the second post that finished Hwang Ui-Jo with the help of the goalkeeper to open the scoring, at minute 20. Mexico responded quickly and a center to the far post could not be defined by Lozano, as the ball hit the post.

Those led by “Tata” continued with the opportunities and after half an hour of play, Jiménez appeared to pump the ball from outside the area that hit the net, but from the top.

Already in the second half, Hwang, at 60, had the opportunity to have settled the game with the heads up that he could not define before the intervention of Hugo Gonzalez.

Mexico turned it around

A couple of minutes were enough for the Concacaf team to turn the blackboard. First to 67 with the service to the first post of Orbelín Pineda who finished Jiménez to match the billboards; two minutes later, Pineda put the filtered pass before the arrival of Uriel Antuna, who pecked the ball to take the advantage. But the gale did not stop there, because in the action of a corner kick, Hector Moreno delayed the ball for the angled shot of Carlos Salcedo which extended the lead.

The game was less in the last moments, although the Asians cut the difference after a double contact in a corner kick that finished a few centimeters Kwon Kyung-won.

By next Tuesday, South Korea will face Qatar and Mexico will have its last test of 2020 before its similar Japan.
