The “Forbes Magazine” recently published an overview of the “dead top earners”. The list is based on earnings from October 2019 to October 2020 and is actually headed by the “King of Pop”, Michael Jackson. But many other well-known faces are also represented in the list.

Despite the bad press around Michael Jackson, who died in 2009, his works continued to generate 48 million US dollars in the past twelve months, according to Forbes evaluation. The super-rich is closely followed by the children’s book author Theodor Geisel, better known as “Dr. Seuss ”. The books of the writer, who died in 1991, washed $ 33 million into the coffers of his estate recipients. Elvis Presley also let the tills ring with 23 million US dollars, including Graceland, the former property of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll ”, which is now used as a museum.

The recently published list also includes some stars who recently passed away. Basketball legend Kobe Bryant, who died in a tragic helicopter accident in January 2020, earned around US $ 20 million – mainly through merchandising and the sale of his autobiography. The sales of the rapper Juice WRLD, who died in December 2019, also shot up after his death. He also stayed in the Billboard charts for a long time with his posthumously released album LEGENDS NEVER DIE. It ranks 7th on the list at $ 15 million.

Further down the list there are musicians such as Bob Marley, John Lennon, Prince, Queen singer Freddy Mercury as well as George Harrison and the icon Marilyn Monroe. You can see the complete list here.
