Mick Schumacher (Haas F1 Team) won the long-awaited first F1 point in 8th place at the 2022 F1 Round 10 British Grand Prix.

Mick Schumacher, who started from 19th with medium tires, started with medium tires from 16th on the second start after the red flag was interrupted due to a big crash, and changed to hard tires on lap 19. When the safety car was deployed on lap 39, it was replaced with soft tires and the ranking gradually increased.

Mick Schumacher, who restarted from 10th place, fought a fierce battle with Max Verstappen until the final lap and finished in 8th place.

“I’m really happy,” commented Mick Schumacher.

“It’s a comeback from 19th place. I said we have the speed to move forward, and today we definitely showed that.”

“The double point finish is a great result for the team and obviously very useful for the constructors.”

“I think it’s great for me to be able to move away from those questions from the media and focus on the really important things of racing and driving.”
