Tyler Mittleider, senior technical project manager for Xbox, said in a press release that members of the Xbox Game Pass family plan, other than the primary account, are not required to be Xbox preview testers, but must reside in the same country. In addition, the test will limit the number of people open.
According to The VergereportIrish users can subscribe to the preview version of the family plan at 21.99 euros per month, which is equivalent to NT$670; if calculated by four people, the average burden per person is less than 200 yuan.
In Taiwan, Xbox Game Pass currently offers three plans: Ultimate (299 yuan/month), computer (199 yuan/month), and console (199 yuan/month). The Ultimate plan also includes Xbox Live Gold and EA Play membership. However, unlike the United States, South Korea, Japan and other countries, Taiwan does not support cloud gaming services for the time being.
It’s unclear if Microsoft has plans to test the Xbox Game Pass family plan in other countries. According to the official announcement, there are still some problems to be solved in this program, including the incomplete localization language, problems encountered when the original subscribed members were invited, and so on.
