We are talking about the Pentium Gold 6500Y chip, which was officially presented in the first quarter of this year, but has not yet found application in commercial devices. The processor replaced the Core m3-8100Y model, which was released in the third quarter of 2018.

The Pentium Gold 6500Y chip contains two computing cores with the ability to simultaneously process four instruction streams. The base clock speed is 1.1 GHz, the maximum turbo frequency is 3.4 GHz.

The product is manufactured using 14-nanometer technology. Maximum Thermal Power Dissipation (TDP) is 5W, which can be downgraded to 3.5W.

The processor includes the Intel UHD Graphics 615 graphics accelerator. Its nominal frequency is 300 MHz, the maximum frequency is 900 MHz.

The chip supports LPDDR3-1866 and DDR3L-1600 RAM, the maximum volume of which can be 16 GB.

The Pentium Gold 6500Y product is targeted at laptop computers. It is expected that the Microsoft Surface Go 3 tablet, the announcement of which will take place coming autumn, will be one of the first devices on this processor.
