Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Ministry of Commerce defamed a commercial establishment and the representative of the establishment after a court ruling was issued convicting them of violating the Anti-Commercial Fraud Law as a result of possessing, displaying and selling products that do not conform to the approved standard specifications.
At the facility located in Khamis Mushait Governorate, the ministry seized plastic bags that did not conform to specifications and standards, due to the failure to install the (biodegradable) logo on the product, according to the technical regulations for biodegradable plastic products.
The Ministry published the judicial ruling issued by the Court of Appeal in Aseer, including a fine, confiscation and destruction of the seized products, the closure of the facility for a period of three days, and the publication of the ruling in a newspaper at the expense of the violators.
