MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Someone just donated $56 million in cash to Minnesota Public Radio.
The Star Tribune reported Wednesday that the anonymous gift is the largest MPR has received in its 55-year history.
The money goes to YourClassical, MPR’s classical music network. According to MPR, nearly 2.75 million people listen to YourClassical programming weekly.
Part of the money will be used for new technologies.
